Daniel Pinto Coelho

Daniel Pinto Coelho was born in Valongo. He began studying piano at just 3 years old. A year later, he stepped onto a stage for the first time at the Teatro Sá da Bandeira. He first sang Fado as a child in a competition at Termas de Chaves, where he won three consecutive editions.

He took piano and singing lessons at the Porto Jazz School, and also studied privately with jazz singer Mareike Sindermann and opera singer Ana Seixas.

In 2010, he enrolled in the voice and performance course at the London Music School, performing in some of the city's famous bars and café-concerts. After returning to Portugal, he performed mostly in Portuguese. In 2014, he returned to Fado, a musical style that has always fascinated him. Currently living in Lisbon, he is one of the prominent names of the new Fado generation and is part of the cast at Sr. Vinho.
